I recently moved from a very small New England town to Pittsburgh.  I’m delighted with the city. More, I’m delighted that I’ve been courageous, as I was when I was a young woman.  I came alone, pretty scared, but it’s fun and I’m settling in. My living is made as a professional writer/consultant. I also write creative nonfiction. My subjects are often place, nature, spirituality, disability (I’m hard of hearing), simple living.  The past.  A strange thing about aging, for me, is the emergence of a quiet joy—not every day, but most days. It’s hard won, and I treasure it.
